Chantal
is a wonderful dog trainer. Her prices are very reasonable,
she is always on time, very accommodating to our schedule,
is available after our sessions are over, and she has the
cutest French accent! If you watch her videos on her
website, you can see how good a trainer she is. We rescued
our dog Daisy in October 09. Our vet at the Noreda Animal
Clinic recommended her. We started training within a month
of adopting Daisy. As you could imagine being a rescue dog,
Daisy had some issues. Among other things, she was
particularly afraid of the stairway and the doggy door. Very
early on, Chantal established a great report with Daisy and
she worked so well with her and us. It was so nice to see
Daisy improve and Chantal was directly related to her
improvement.
Bottom line, my husband and I
only have wonderful things to say about Chantal. Her methods
are positive and kind, and they work! She is HIGHLY
RECOMMENDED!!!

I
highly recommend Chantal & K911 Dog Training! She is
excellent with dogs, only uses positive reinforcement
techniques, is kind and patient, cheerful and confident. She
trains you how to train your dog. Provides written
materials, weekly written exercises to do on your own, and
suggestions for pet supplies based on your needs.
I signed up for the seven
sessions (once a week) and my two dogs are much more
attentive, focused and obedient. Check out her website for
sample videos and more details of her training methods.
You won't be disappointed.

Our
6-month-old Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy was overly
rambunctious. Her jumping, nipping, pawing, chewing, and
destroying was becoming more and more antisocial and
intolerable. We desperately needed help.
Chantal came to our rescue.
She is extremely professional, enthusiastic, and always
prompt. Her training technique is positive and rewarding.
The trait we value most is her patience not only with the
dog, but also with us, the owners. She adapted her program
to fit our dog’s and our own individual needs. She also
integrated our older dog into the sessions, which reinforced
the lessons for the puppy.
We were concerned that we
waited too long to begin training, but with Chantal’s
method, we were able to correct her bad behavior in just a
few lessons. Amazing.
We give her our highest
recommendation and heart-felt thanks.

We
did not want to go through the "group" training experience
that we had with our last dog. There were too many dogs, too
many distractions at the park, and not nearly enough
personal attention. Based on that, we knew that this time
around a professional dog trainer that would come to our
home was the only way to go. So even before we got our new
puppy we started researching dog trainers in the San
Fernando Valley and luckily found Chantal's web site. After
reading what she said about her technique and philosophy and
talking to her on the phone, we felt we had found the
perfect trainer. We especially liked her offer of an
introductory evaluation in our home to demonstrate her
methods. Needless to say, we were sold.
After 4 weeks of training, our 4
month-old poodle Reggie knew more and was more well-trained
than 10 weeks spent in the park setting. Chantal really
cares. It doesn't seem to be a job to her, but rather a true
calling. She trains both the dog and the owner and her
method of rewarding good behavior instead of punishing bad
behavior is so simple and rational, you keep wondering why
all dog trainers don't use the same method. Reggie responded
immediately to Chantal and to us, as we learned how to train
him. Chantal's written lesson plans are easy to follow and
well thought out. Each one is a progression of the training
experience, and they provide the complete foundation for
continued training on your own.
We highly recommend Chantal as
your dog trainer, and believe that you will be as happy with
her ability, commitment and results as we are.

I
began my search for a trainer when a dog I had recently
adopted started exhibiting signs of aggression towards
strangers and other dogs. When I found Chantal's website, I
was struck not only by her knowledge, but also by her warmth
and personal approach. I immediately contacted her. And I'm
so glad I did! My dog responded to her instantly. After the
very first session, there was noticeable
progress. And after just a few more sessions, I couldn't
believe the improvement! I firmly believe this was due to
the way Chantal not only worked with my dog, but how she was
working with me as well. We were both learning together.
Every lesson is lovingly prepared and purposely thought out.
Her care and attention to detail goes above and beyond
someone who is just doing their "job". She has a true talent
and a rare, natural gift for working with animals-- those on
two legs, as well as four! I am so grateful I found Chantal.
I have no doubt that you will be, too.
Sincerely,

Chantal took some
vacation to visit her family and friends in Montreal.
Although she had only two weeks, she did not hesitate to
help me with issues I had with my dog Max. Previously, I had
hired a trainer that had all kinds of diplomas, rewards and
trophies but the only thing he was able to accomplish was to
teach Max to sit.
Chantal was able to find what
motivates Max to work for and by doing this, I was also
motivated to work with him since he started responding.
Chantal was very creative in her approach and capable to
change direction to make it work. She is knowledgeable and
extremely devoted to what she does. Although she gave me
honest expectations what I finally accomplished with Max is
beyond expectations! Thank you Chantal.

One
year ago we picked up our three year old pit bull from the
pound, we named her Nola. She had been in there for two
months and it was obvious to us that no one was going to
take her home. We were looking for a companion for our other
pit and knew that we could be taking a big risk but we were
willing to try.
Not knowing any history, we
turned to Chantal to help us. Nola wasn't able to a walk on
a leash because she pulled so hard her front feet were
always off the ground and she would strangle herself.
Chantal came to us with information, resources, lots of
patience and an abundance of praise for Nola.
Within 2 sessions, Nola was
walking calmly and beginning to respond to verbal cues. We
now take nice walks everyday, improving both of our lives.
Chantal also taught us some simple training techniques that
Nola responded to easily.
Chantal has a genuine love
and respect for dogs. She is very knowledgeable and
passionate about her work, She is patient, caring and most
importantly consistent. Chantal utilizes a consistent
positive approach that dogs respond to very well.
I highly recommend that if
you are adopting a dog, that you use a dog trainer within
the first few weeks of their arrival. It will allow the dog
to know that you are the leader. It provides the dog with
boundaries, which allows the dog a feeling of safety. It
also teaches you how to set limits and train on an ongoing
basis this is critical to a better life for all. Learning
these simple training techniques makes a difference for us
everyday Thank you so much Chantal!

We
acquired two lab puppies after several years of not having a
dog. We had forgotten how active a puppy can be! The
puppies, littermates, were very rambunctious and quite a
challenge. We needed immediate help!
K9-1-1 came highly
recommended by a local pet store. We contacted Chantal at
K9-1-1 and were extremely impressed by her organization and
presentation of the K9-1-1 training program. After the first
"meet and greet" and orientation, Chantal assessed the dogs
and provided us with a structure on how best to proceed with
basic training of our two wild puppies.
Chantal was caring and truly
interested in the well being of our animals. She was
innovative in her training methods and dedicated to
transforming the puppies in to well behaved pets. When
presented with a problem, Chantal always had several
different techniques to try, should the most obvious tactic
not to work to her satisfaction.
We were astounded that
Chantal got both the puppies to do exactly as she wanted in
such a short period of time. Chantal was successful in also
"training the trainers".
THANK YOU, CHANTAL AND
K9-1-1!
